Three FCD supporters arrested by Police and taken to Kasese on Thursday, October 4, have been remanded until October 8, 2012 when they will enter plea.
Sam Mugumya, Francis Mwijukye and Robert Kasekwa were charged before the Grade II Magistrate’s court in Kasese on Friday, October 5 for stealing Shs100, 000 and two mobile phones belonging to Ismail Muyigwa on August 4, 2012 at Maliba Trading Centre, Busongora North Constituency, Kasese District.
The three suspects were not allowed to take plea.
The trio are being charged with simple robbery and inciting violence after the action.
However, the Court, presided over by Steven Saabu, released Robert Kasekwa after it learnt that he was still on court bail granted to him by the same court. Mr Kasekwa was ordered to appear on Monday when his new charge will be heard.
The suspects told this reporter that they are being “persecuted.”
