12:10 EAT: A child estimated to be about 4-years-old has been shot dead in Nyendo, Masaka as security forces battled to control protestors. Eye witnesses say the child was hit when police opened fire with live rounds into a crowd of unarmed civilians. Daily Monitor’s Michael J. Ssali says the child (name withheld) was shot in the head and ribs.
